Need to Know TIRE sizes

I would also like to know this. I see on tirerack they list the stock size for a 97 as 31.2" diameter.

IIRC I saw someone on here who managed to stuff 35's on his rig with no lift.

Wow, two first posts in the same thread!

Welcome :flipoff2:

A quick search will show that you can use 285/ 75-16 (33" tall) on your stock rig.

I fit 315-75-16 (35's) on mine stock, but it isn't advised because of rubbing.

Please search! You will find thousands of posts on this very common issue.

That was me. :D

I won a bet because of that :D

33" tall tires are a safe bet for sure, and fill in the wheel wells very nicely.

clearly 35s are possible...

35's are 'possible' if you don't put anything else in the rig. I put 35's on mine for a short time but when I put stuff in the back AND put my 3-rail motorcycle trailer on, --- rub city ---

I think under serious articulation, you wouldn't be happy with more than 285/75's unless you lifted it up some. FWIW. Dan.

315s are the metric 33x12.50R16s... However, they are a bit undersized. I ran a 33x12.50R16 SS Trxus (true 33" tall) without rubbing on my 80 with no lift.
