Folks,

I am working on a custom build, 60 body on fzj80 chassis. Need a front bumper solution. Thinking of the Slee Shortbus front bumper. Widths are about 3” different between 60 and 80 front. Has anyone done this? Key thing is the top plate clearance between valence and back edge of top plate. Can someone get me some measurements of the top plate width? Also i really cant pics of how it attached to the fzj80 frame. I would appreciate any pics from someone. Is the shortbus fairly straight or does it curve?

Ive got one I can snap a couple pics of for you, but it wont be till tomorrow afternoon. Also, to see how it mounts on an 80, look at Slee's instructions. He has pretty good drawings in there of how it mounts.

Scroll down and look click on the documents tab

I did not see document link before. Reviewed it. It still would be good to see the top plate clearances between valence and edge of top plate/top plate width

Can’t wait to hear more about this project, CD. I have the short bus on 80, but changed to custom grill last year. I can take some pics in the daytime tomorrow if that would be helpful, but I’m really thinking that would be hard to know for sure since the 60 front is so different. I’m thinking maybe to get J. Monroy to take some pics of his 60/80 truck and maybe make some measurements from height of frame mount points to valences, etc?

i figured out how it mounts from slee website. What would help is the width of the top flat pieces from front edge to back edge to see if I have the space.
