Hi folks,

Looking for a vendor to install new glass (windshield) into my 60 series. Preferably a cruiserhead or someone that has experience with the 60 series.

Any recommendations?

Thanks ahead!

Bell Glass at I-17 - old school guys, price is right - murf recommended them to me - we had two vehicles done there by now, great experience

the old guy owned a 40 back in the day

Just be sure to ask for transparent aluminum instead of that fluid stuff made up of melted sand.

Wife is taking the cruiser in to Bell Glass tomorrow morning. I will report back after taking it through the carwash. Thanks for the heads up.

Reporting no leaks and a very satisfactory experience with Bell Glass. Cost was less then quoted (when does that happen? -honest guys). My wife also had nice things to say about dealing with them.

Thanks for the recommendation Ms. Claudia!

yes, they charged us less than what they quoted on the phone, too - both for the 40, and again a year later for the Blazer

these guys are the real deal

Update: Recent rainy weather has revealed a leak in the upper passenger corner. Pretty significant, surprised car wash did not reveal it.

Contacted Bell Glass. So far they have been fairly responsive, but stated they were very busy with the rain going on. I was told they would call me back to schedule an appointment o fix it.

I will continue to post my impressions.

I am looking for a good glass shop to do a replacement on a 60 series windshield. First couple glass guys I've spoken with are not comfortable taking on the job.

Dbleon - any updates on your experience post install would be appreciated. I was going to contact Bell Glass.

I would still go back to Bell Glass anytime, haven't had the need yet, thankfully

I used Blue Chip Auto Glass to replace my 80 windshield. Owner Kelly confirmed that his tech Freddy knows how to deal with Land Cruiser windshield. They confirmed they would use polyurethane on both sides. Freddy also cleaned up all the rusts he found and touched them up with primer. I am a happy customer.

I have used blue chip multiple times for my WRX (it likes to crack windshields in the same exact spot) and have nothing but good things to say. Will be using them to replace the glass on my 80 once I get my seats back from being reupholstered.

I'm a huge supporter of Select Glass. They came out and did the side glass on my 40. Since they don't repop the side glass for my 71 they came out, made a template, went back the shop, made it then installed it in the same day and it was cheap. They also have done two windshields for me. They also replaced all the windows in my house and made new glass for my coffee table. Different crew of coarse. They have a lot of talent in their company. They are also huge supporters in the off-road desert racing.

Sorry for the slow response. Well, it still leaks after having it back to them once.

Im beginning to think it might be the rain gutter leaking into the cab above the A pillars.

I have no idea how to tell for sure other than maybe smoke?
