Hi, it's time to replace my front rotors and I wanted to see what others are going for these days!
Should I keep stock ones in there or go for drilled/slotted ones?
Also what brands are folks most happy with?

Thanks

I went with DBA brand rotors and hawk pads. I've only done the rear so far, waiting for new brake lines to arrive before I tackle the front. I used a $50 off $100 coupon from advance auto a few times to save a lot!

Very Happy with my stoptech slotted/drilled and EBC pads..... a noticable gain in pedal feel and initial bite... Autoanything was hard to beat for price with their discount code and free shipping....

OEM are fantastic and lasted 100k miles last time for me

Thank you guys, as of now I'm leaning more towards oem but wanted to add another question:
For those with drilled/slotted rotors, what kind of life are you getting from them?
I can read all the brands own descriptions but we all know they can put anything there! Real life usage is very different!

Thanks again

Running DBA slotted w/ ~80k on them on all four corners.

OEM pads.

No problems since but need to get a new set of pads within the next few months.

I went the DBA slotted and drilled ones with their pads.

Stops really well on the road BUT any serious mud / water crossing they are absolutely useless until you cycle them a few times.

When the rotors wear out I'm seriously looking at going back to OEM.

I think OEM is my choice but if you have more weight from added equipment s like bumpers , I would consider upgraded after market stuff.

^^ Yeah I know! I am out of time to do everything I need to before HIHs and got a very good quote from a dealer near me so I'm leaning more on letting them tackle the brakes but they won't put anything aftermarket, only the oem rotors. I would like to upgrade but just can't do it myself at this point!
I do have a truck tipping to the heavy side - RTT, full steel rack, drawers, sliders, front bumper, gear …….

Thanks everyone! Very helpful!

So, it's been a while since this thread was active. Any new info? I had to buy some rear rotors from Advance Auto because I needed them TODAY, since pad wear wasn't perfectly even and one of the right rear pads wore partially to the metal. However, I do have a few days/week to order the fronts, and wanted to know if the DBA-4788S's are the shiznit, or should I go with something like the StopTech Sport Slotted Cryo rotors, and some Hawk LTS Truck/SUV pads. I will tow occasionally, but mainly I like fade-free sports car stopping ability on my LC during my daily drives.

Just had SLEE replace all 4 of mine with the DBA rotors. They claim DBA rotors with OEM Pads are best. Ben at slee told me that the DBA Rotors are the longest lasting they have found. @Get outside
