Need help with rear 12v outlet location (1 Viewer)

hey guys, I'm wiring in a 12v outlet for my fridge and I'm torn about where to put it. I was thinking I would put it in the 3rd row cup holder, hidden. But now I'm m thinking I might want to put in some USB plugs as well to assess from the tailgate area.

Help me out and tell me or show me where/how you wired your fridges.

Replace the factory outlet

I put my extra 2 on the passenger side , placed where they can be reached from the rear seat. Facing up where they are protected and cant get in the way. I also I keep my freg on the pass side as I sometimes sleep in the truck and the driver side is bigger.

O - yea and my frig is hardwired in to the fuse panel so its not taking up plugs... The added plugs are so nice to run a USB powered small fan , low power draw.... Makes sleeping back there really nice.

Replace the factory outlet

X2 on replacing the factory outlet.

This is exactly what I did. I removed the factory outlet. Ran 10ga from the battery to a new Blue Sea outlet. Ran the negative to the same ground location as the factory outlet. Easy.

Thanks, the guy who put it in for me did a great job. It's like a Blue Sea, but it's a Cllena. I like marine stuff. It's off Amazon, but I don't think it will be an issue not being "brand name."

lol, i'm in the middle of doing this sort of thing in my 100, only on the passenger side installed the supplied ARB cig outlet for my fridge and in place of the LX's sub i'm making a control panel that has aux cig outlets, a meter, a couple of switches and my breaker box.

my set up is the same as above in the sense I'll be sleeping on the drivers side with the fridge on the passenger side, that's why i put most of the outlets and the control panel on teh drivers side as that is where I'll be sleeping and i like having plug ins near my head or feet so they can be easily accessed while I'm sleeping.

i'll be adding another row of usb and cig outlets as well as a standard 3 prong wall socket ran from my inverter in this location.... one day i also hope to install OBA and run the hose fittings to this panel as well.... like i said, i ditched the sub and have alot of room to work with now! all this space for activities! lol

The OEM location is not great due to then being in the way of storing cargo in that area.

I hardwired mine into my aux panel which is behind the OEM subwoofer cover. Much nicer to be hardwired and the wiring itself is secured to the cargo box so that there is no worries of it pinching in the slide mechanism.
