Need Help With Headlight Swap (HDJ80)

Hi Douglas,

I have quad lights on the way and I'm looking to install JW Speakers as well so I'm looking for tips. I was wondering if you've installed them, and what all was needed in terms of adapters/modification?

I have installed. In terms of mounting it was straightforward - I had to trim a couple tabs on the headlight brackets but after that my factory grill fit perfectly. You will need the corner lights for the quad setup.

Wiring will need to be modified, Toyota switches the ground side which complicates things slightly. Mine are set up like this - Instructions for LED Headlight upgrade - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/instructions-for-led-headlight-upgrade.1006581/#post-11299018

Basically a dedicated ground for the low beam and the Toyota switched ground controls the high beam. Works well, all 4 lights are on when high beam is on - only downside is no high beam indicator. There is a fix for that but I haven’t looked into it.

For your corner lights, are the amber ones the same size? Or do the quad lights actually have different corner light dimensions?

The corner lights are specific to the quad headlights. Not sure if amber was ever an option.
