With all the suspension modifications over the last 8 months- Saturday was the first I was able to go out and really test how Bugly performs.

On the front it has a 3 link with panhard bar. 6" lift Jeep TJ front coils. They are too soft for the weight of the truck. (2F, 8274, etc.) It bottoms out HARD!!! Like rattle-your-teeth hard. Need to find something approximately the same diameter as the TJ springs. Gumby suggested maybe Ford Explorer coils.

Suggestions?

What about some 14" air shocks instead of the hydraulic shocks that are on it now? The air pressure could be adjusted to supplement the coils. Crazy idea?

if using an air shock, just get rid of the coils and have a nice tunable setup.

both fox and sway away make 2.5" air shox, I pretty sure other manufactures do as well. They will handle much more weight.

Is the ride height what you want? Perhaps you would be better just revalving (or purchasing) your existing shocks. Just bottoming out is not the end all of suspension concerns..

Another option should be James Duff .. progressive
