Any recommendations on where to get the hard line for my clutch made up local? Search the phone book for Hydraulic Repair? The fittings are both rounded off and one is still stuck pretty damn good into the soft line connection.

I'd rather pay somebody than buy another tool I'll likely never use again and spend a day trying to match that twisty piece of metal that I believe is no longer available and I'd like in a hurry.

Or, I'll make it worth your while if one of you can do it today or tomorrow…

I may be able to help a bit tomorrow afternoon, I don't have any of those tools anymore as I gave them away when I thought I was moving last year :bang:

I have the tubing benders and a double flare tool you can use if you need it .....

No need to get a whole new line, just have someone come over with a double-flare tool and help you put some new ends on the line you've got. 30 minute job max.

That said, you can go to your local auto parts store and pick up pre-flared 3/16" brake line, with the correct metric fittings, and bend it yourself. No need for a bender, just use an old v-belt pulley you've got lying around, or even one that's on your motor already.

this is true.... that's the route I went when putting new brakes on my trailer.... plus auto zone will rent you the tool for free anyway.... and you have one right by your shop

Ah, Johnny Low-Tech chimes in with a good idea! I had actually thought of just cutting and reflareing what I have (really, I did…ask Eric!) but that'll depend on a successful extraction of the stuck fitting from the hose end since there's not much extra slack to work with. I've got the ATF/Acetone working on it now. I'll try to grab Sam's bending tools. I think y'all know that I'm not against buying things I only use once, or even never, but I'm trying to be more frugal with my funds this year.

Questions:
1. Do I need a single or double flare? I haven't even looked up the difference yet as time is a bit limited right now.
2. I have some new OEM 80 rear brake hard lines with the proper fittings for what I need on the clutch. They're obviously bent to a completely different shape from what I need. Can I cut this to length, rebend to fit, then reinstall the fitting and reflare or will the metal not handle all the bending?

I recommend a double-flare. Sometimes you can get away with a single flare, but double-flares are always going to give you a better seal.

Agreed with Darin, use the other line. It'll be fine.

we got this done today. Borrowed some tools from Sam and we put everything in earlier in the day. I'll post pics later.
