Guys,

Is there anybody here that re-flashes ECU's? I have a 2000 LX470 with only a valet key. I'll need to re-chip the ECU in order to program new master keys for it. @Mauser helped me out with this once before on another truck, but he doesn't seem to be responding to PM's. Maybe he quit doing this? Anybody else with the ability to do the job (other than Lexus)? Let me know.

Thanks,

Dave

Mauser helped me out with a reflash in July. Super helpful. He did note that he’s been very busy with life and other things. Hopefully you guys will be able to connect.

I don’t know how the actual work is done and I don’t know of anyone else outside of the dealership providing the service.

My messages have been piling up lately. Sorry guys. I still do a few here and there and always for local emergencies.

There is a company who is a member here that does do the flashing. @LexusV8 Engines

Virgil, I couldn’t talk you into shipping me a new chip to have soldered into my ECU could I? This is what we did last time and it worked great. If not, I completely understand. Don’t want to pester you.

The LX470 of that year is flushable but not with a LX470 file as those files were never released by Denso. For immobilizer we can make your ECU Vergin so it can be programmed with new keys. (Basically a new key learn). So, you can then enter the Marter and spare key and then the valet key. Or we can simply remove the immobilizer completely for you but that would require the ECU to be sent into us for the work to be performed. If you are experienced in soldering small components then i will write a chip and have no problem sending it to you to install it. I am trying to attach the file for you but not sure as it seems as though it is not allowing. If you can program the eeprom then here it is: TOYOTA LANDCRUISER 1998 VIRGIN.bin
So take no notice of the 98. It is right for you till 2002. If you have troubles which you shouldn't then just shout. When the chip is written and reinstalled then first put the Marter key in. The security light will flash. Then put the second key and it will flash twice and then the valet key. Then start the car and switch off. Do dot start the car before all the keys are programmed.

Hi, was still wondering if you had a chip I could solder in my ECU?

Hi. Yes. We had to pack everything away in case the hurricane hit us directly. We are still in process of re setting up the workshop and as soon as we can we will send you the chip. We have not forgotten about you.

Hey. I have a 2000 lx470 with one valet key. Can you send ECU chip or recommend how I can get a master key?
