Need color code & routing - wire to fuel pump

I cannot find wiring harness names, location and/or function in the FSM. I want to find the wire to the fuel pump.

I found one that looks like it might be the one but I am not sure about it. The suspect wire appears to run from somewhere on top of the gas tank to just under the rear of behind the driver's side rear fender well to meet another harness inside the rear panel (about 10" in front of the jack storage).

Does anyone know if this is the fuel pump DC source line or if it is the fuel gauge? I am looking to find the wire that goes to the fuel pump and find access to it as close to the fuel tank as possible, preferably inside and near the jack. Can anyone point to where the wire is? Do you have a color code as well?

I assume it is an FJ62? Since the FJ 60 uses a mechanical pump bolted to teh side of the block.

What year is it?

Sorry .... it is a 90 FJ62. The FSM shows the fuel pump in the tank. I looked everywhere underneath and I can't see any wires running off the top of the tank. (without lowering it of course) THANKS

you're in luck, I just dropped my tank for my 88 fj62. Hopefully they didn't change the color around from year to year. White with black stripe running the length of the wire. Red with blue strip running the length of the wire. There is a connector above the tank that changes the colors ( for less than a foot in length) but that would be irrelevant because I assume you are trying to trace the wires in a bundle. Curious, what are you trying to achieve or what is the problem?

I am still unclear where the wire first gains accessibility, that is, where does it go once it leaves the gas tank. Does the wire come up through the floor or does it run underneath the car? Where can I reach the wire closest to the gas tank without dropping the gas tank?

There are four wires (bundled) that go near the bracket that holds the two hard lines that go towards the engine from the tank. They are underneath a cross frame really tight against the bottom floor. Two sets of wire go to the pump. Two sets of wires go to the fuel gauge.
