Last weekend my kids decided to do a number on my 2008 200 Series and lost one of the seat heater knobs. I have searched high and low on the web with no success to find a new one short of ordering a whole new assembly as was the only suggestion from the dealership. Thanks alot dealership:mad:
Anyone have any suggestions as where to find one.
Thanks in advance

Call around to some junkyards or pick and pulls in bigger cities, like Houston. I bet they should have a wrecked 200 around that you could get the knob from.

I have the same problem with the same results. I would like to know as well, where to find replacements.

i even went to the dealership to sit in the new 200 on the showroom floor to try to get a new knob.;) thats when i realized they went to heated and cooled seats and different knobs at some point. oh well ill look around still

Moab has a pretty low post count so he may or may not know CDan.

Hint for Moab: Call American Toyota in Albuquerque (google it) and ask for Dan in parts.

Try toyotapartscheap.com.

MUD price on the whole switch is $142.55. They don't offer just the knob. I'm pretty sure Dan uses the same discount that I do so either one of us could get it for you. It's pretty hard to total a ~$70,000 LC so I doubt there are any "sitting in the junkyard".

thanks all for your help on this

i can already tell this is gonna be a great resource
yes i am new to this community so i was not aware of cdan so troutrunner thx for the info and i will try him out.

Moab,

Did you ever have any luck with the knob search? I am in search of the same knob for my 2008 LC. The knob bit the dust and dealer only sells the whole switch.

I'm in the same boat...need some new knobs, but don't want to buy the whole switch.

OK, I have ordered a switch from China that "looks" like it has knobs that will work. I will let you know for sure when it arrives.

Yes let us know. I lost one this week thanks to a vacuum at a car wash.

I received the switch yesterday...from Taiwan no less. My plan was to remove the knobs and install them on mine. But the switch does look very much like the original one. I have no idea if it will be a direct plug in unless I remove mine and take a look at it. Unless someone already has one removed and compare it to this one.

In defense of the seller, who I don't know, he said it wasn't a direct replacement for the factory switch but it sure looks a lot like it.

Reason I haven't just pulled the knobs off and put it on mine is that the knobs seem to be stuck on there quite snugly. Perhaps they can't be removed, I don't know. I haven't tried to pull too hard in case I break it and have to start over.

I tried to attach photos here, if they don't attach I will try again so you can see what I got.

Any advice on whether the switch has the same connection as the factory and can be used as a replacement is much appreciated.

By the way, $25 shipped.

Dave
