I'm going to just put mine where the new license plate is, there are already wires running to the light there. I think the view would be blocked by the spare and ladder if you put it in the old license plate location.

Friday is running down and still no call from the freight carrier... I even had a helper lined up for install but looks like its will be next week for me... Oh well at least I have second row tickets to the Kevin Hart show tomorrow night...

I picked mine up this afternoon. Unfortunately there was some shipping damage. About a 3" gouge down the tube side thingy. Nothing a quick spray paint won't fix. I removed the 2nd row of seats and it fits like a glove! We'll see if it gets installed tomorrow... It's supposed to be low 20's :(

It's on! It was a beating... You need two people to do it.

yes...you can do most all of it alone except for the actual installing without worrying about a wing damaging your rear lower quarters trying to hang it.

Looks good...now to hang the swingouts and a job well done. :) Good Job!

A couple things from my install:

I couldn't grind the forward parts of the crossmember flush because the muffler was in the way and because its not necessary for the bumper to fit.

Put the rear rubber muffler hanger on the new bumper before installing. By accident I ran the muffler hanger thru the middle of that rubber thing but I think I'll leave it, it gives me a 1/2" for muffler clearance :)

Question: what grease should I use to pack my bearings? I have some tacky red lucas oil NLGI2, is that ok to use or should I get something else?

^ I'm guessing the any wheel bearing grease would be fine... Not sure what to use cause my stuff still hasn't arrived... Still waiting the freight carrier to call me... Post more pictures when you are done!

Look what showed up at the office today! I had my trailer empty and ready to roll when the driver called. Might have to leave early today. Ready to get started. This is the last time I will tow anything with my stock setup in the rear. Don't think i'll be missing it much... Here's a couple pics...

Luckily, I have one from when I towed the camper with my wife's Rav4 (used as a raised hitch). It should be the right drop.

Just unpacked my pallets. I have similar damage from shipment as others have noted (on the ends of the quarter panel protection wings). I'm not really surprised, since they stuck way off the pallet. It's not bad, though, and will fix up with a little rattle can.

If I were you, I would go see a doctor about that horrible cold you [STRIKE]are getting[/STRIKE] got. Looks like you might have to call in sick tomorrow in order to recuperate.

Good luck Ferris!

Wish I could but we are slammed at work right now and I have a board meeting tonight which means I'm here until late tonight... Oh well... It will get done by the end of the weekend...

Done! The hardest part of the whole install were the stupid dust caps!!

That bumper does look good. Any rattles or spare tire wobbles over washboard roads? IMO that is the rear test for aftermarket bumpers...
