According to Mike, three people have contacted him and placed the down payment...although since it was through email Mike had their real names rather than usernames, in order to protect privacy and real names, I will not name the people

Pls make sure to update the thread if you have submitted down payment:) That way we can keep track

Mike, i understand this GB is for 100 series rear bumpers, but can it include 80s as well? :)

Hi Guys

Sorry but I can't include the 80 bumper is this. The reason this works is I can do a production line and this bumper is different enough that it would slow things down.

I have heard form three of you. I would like to get all the deposits taken care of by the end of next week if possible. That way I can start getting things cut out and ready to start the week after thanksgiving. Please remember that if you want to pay with paypal I will have to add 3% back on your order.

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from the rest of the bolt on bumper guys soon. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Mike

I wish I could say I get on here more. I ordered my bumper shortly after mxndrinks did his review of Mike's bumper. I'm not sure if I was included in with the group buy at that time, so I guess you can add me to the list. I have submitted my down payment and I also ordered his sliders along with it to finally start my build. I really want to jump on the skid plates too. I guess having 20 month old twins puts a hold on things for awhile.

I am in the same boat as saillaw. Should be done with final details today or tomorrow and be sending check tomorrow or Thursday.

Maybe you can call up Mike and see if he can just produce your bumper the same time as everyone else? I cannot promise anything about the 10% since my name is not Mike Smith though;)

If he is produces a separate bumper at the same time as the 100 Series run wouldn't that be the same as interfering with his production line?

8 hrs/day to build 100 Series run = 100% of work day on 100 Series run

6 hrs/day to build 100 Series run + 2 hrs/day to build 80 Series bumper = 75% of work day on 100 Series run

= Interferes with 100 Series production line.

- Sent from a very small supercomputer.

I am officially on the no list now. Hopefully next year, but at the rate we're getting work to him, it could be 2013 ...

Dries001 has a 100 series and put a down payment for a bolt on bumper(assuming Mike has not started on his bumper yet then he will be producing the same bolt on bumper as the on in this group buy), so why is the 80 series bumper in your equation?;)

Sounds to me like Dries001 already committed to a purchase sometime ago before a group buy was available... The good thing is he will likely have his bumper much sooner than the GB guys but will pay slightly more in the end...

To be honest I was considering placing a full priced order for a high clearance ahead of the GB for a couple reasons 1) hoping to get the bumper sooner /asap & 2) there isn't currently enough people on the high clearance list right now anyway...

I am also considering other options right now as it looks like Mike will be a busy man well into the new year... Unless Mike hires some help it sounds like I could be waiting a long time for the model I was originally interested in...

According to Dries001's pm to me, Mike gave him the opportunity to get the 10% off because he did not start his build for the rear bumper yet. So he is one of the people helping us get to 5

Jgray, either way you will end up getting the bumper the same time as us other high clearance guys because Mike reserved the production slot for the bolt on guys already. After he is done with those then he will entertain other orders(in our case the High clearance group buy is right after so might as well wait)...Mike just did not want to take the high clearance down payments because he does not want to hold the money for too long

Yeah it looks like i've inadvertenly pissed into the fan at this point... I should've just put my own order in a couple weeks ago when I intended to... I will let you know what I decide to do... Weighing my options again...

I think before everyone starts complaining about the build time, I ordered mine on October 5. It has taken 4-5 weeks before Mike even started on it. I think if you're just getting your orders in that is a fair turn around time, considering build and powder coating time. Mike said my bumper won't be ready until the end of Nov or beginning of Dec which isn't much before the group buy. Plus you need to remember it is only one guy and you are getting a discount. Who else would do that for you? I don't see arb doing it and I'm certain the quality will be better.

dries001 - I currently have Mikes diff drop kit, sliders and front bumper installed on my 100... Some things have shipped very fast and others I've waited longer for... That said - I have been very happy with all the BIO products I have... I personally wanted the rear high clearance designed bumper which is now well behind his other orders... There isn't currently enough people for a high clearance group buy and if it does happen these bumpers are likely a long time out on the production list... This is just my personal dilema and my comments above are just related to the fact that I was going to put a deposit down a couple weeks ago and held off after this group buy thread started... I'm emailing Mike to explore my options but I'm guessing even if I get my order in now it's going to be a much longer wait in my case...

Bump for the high clearance guys:)

still need 1 more for high clearance

I talked to Mike yesterday and will be sending my check out tomorrow for the bolt on. Would've already sent it, but I didn't have any stamps. I can't remember the last time I had to snail mail anything.

We need to support USPS! I am fighting the urge to join the bolt on group buy just so I can have a bumper before my trip to tahoe in january:mad:

No problem, if one of us benefits from a "sale" price, all of us should;)
