I missed this group buy by a just a few weeks. I ordered it at the middle of september and received it a bit over two weeks ago. It was definitely well worth whatever time he says he needs. I had it shipped to me unpainted. Well, here are the pics.

3D FJ, I always like your LX. Love the color match on pretty much everything...not going to do the sliders?
Sorry you missed out on the group buy...but I guess you have it for winter and you will not have to wait until January. Looks really good.
I am also getting the rear bumper unpainted from Mike. What was your painting process? How was the prep work? Any tips? What paint did you use?
I am thinking of using either Rustoleum or Sherwin-Williams All Surface Enamel (Oil Base) in a color match. I am thinking the prep process would look like this:
1. Clean the whole bumper up with lacquer thinner.
2. Sand the whole bumper with 180 grit and then maybe 400 on the main faces.
3. Wash with soapy water and clean with a Scotchbrite pad.
4. Completely wipe the whole bumper off with acetone.
5. Let it dry completely.
6. 2 coats primer.
7. 3 coats paint.
Didn't paint the sliders because I wanted them black. I figured having them color coded would be a bit much. The biggest reason i had the rear bumper color matched was because I needed to have the front painted anyway. Unfortunately, the Sahara bar only comes in grey and not black. 1st, i didn't think the grey color on my truck would look right and 2nd i don't know if i'd be able to get the rear matched to the grey color anyway. What I then decided was since i have to get the bumpers painted to match, why not color match them. I had a shop do both bumpers. I cannot comment on prep or the process of painting. If there was a way that i could have painted them myself, i would have done so. I was under a time constraint as when i was having them painted, my son could have been born at any time. Thankfully, i was able to get everything done before my son was born (yesterday).

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! He will be a lot of fun...one of my co-workers just had a little girl...the stories coming back to the office are priceless!
I am pretty sure you can't easily get a color match in the Rustoleum...not sure though. The Rustoleum Professional, which is what I was looking at, only has a couple dozen standard colors. No matching. If I went the color match route, it would be only in the Sherwin-Williams paint. I have seen good reviews of it online that it is very similar to the Rustoleum Professional.
We'll see...I have plenty of time to figure out the finish side of it!
I'll have the silver/gray rear bumper for sale as soon as I get this new one on. And then a front one too as soon as I figure out which front bumper to get. Shipping would be from 27613.
Not sure if KappyKD is in, but bump once again for the BIOR bumpers! Mike says he has received the deposits from the lucky few that were in for the bolt on bumper
High clearance and bolt on still available for january group buy!
