Need a new battery

Back to the OP's question about G31 batteries. If I understand correctly, the currently recommended G31 battery for the Slee tray is the Interstate 31P-AGM7.

The X2 27f seems to make more sense to me.

IMO, the best option these days is the Batteries Plus X2 Power 27F. It's a 92 AH battery that fits in the stock tray. The group 31 batteries are going to get you at most 3-10 additional AH and you're going to have to buy a new tray from Slee. I don't personally think it's worth it. You could take that $100 and put it towards a Microstart jump pack and have a much more "robust" battery solution, IMO.

This is exactly what I did. Fits perfect. Just placed an order for a jump start kit off of Amazon as well.

Yes you need a tray to be able to use a group 31. Slee makes a tray so check them out.

That's incorrect. I put a group 31 DHP in my old 06 and it fit just fine. I had to but a screw on lug for the positive side from autozone but that was all the modification that was needed.

We went ahead and bought one of these x2 batteries. It's only been a month or so but I'm pretty pretty impressed thus far.
