Hey fellas, I need a little advice from the experts. My head light will not turn to high beams. I have replaced the switch. When I click the floor dimmer switch the lights go off, same as the old switch. I replaced a head light but have the same problem.
What is wrong?

Have you looked at the wires on the dimmer switch and make sure they are all hooked up, and traced them to make sure they are good ? Does the dimmer switch work properly, as in function right ?

Since you have the power (RW) wire obviously working, and the low beam wire (RG) working, then the problem must be either the switch itself, or the brights wire (RY). Does the high beam light on the combination meter come on?

I have replaced the floor dimmer switch, a headlight relay and a head light with the same results. When I push the dimme4r switch from low to high,,,the nhead laps go out. The light on the dash does nothing.

Do you have the correct wires attached to the correct terminals on the switch?

You should be able to tell with a simple tester if you have power to the "high beam" terminal when it is switched on.

I have no idea. I just put the wires back the way they were. I assume they are correct because the low beams work and it didn't catch fire.
