Mudders,

I have searched extensively and read many threads stating that the '07+ Tundra wheels fit the LX570 as a direct fit. I take my LX to Colorado in the summer and give it quite a workout of towing and off-roading. I did some off-roading last week and it is obvious that my stock 20" wheels are not the best tire/wheel for the task.

I see plenty of '07 wheels with good tires on them for sale on Craigslist for cheap money. I'd like to buy a set for off-road use.

Here are the questions:

- Do the wheels fit as is, without spacers? 5X150

- Are there lug nut considerations?

- The Tundra tires are 275/65/18, not the same size as the 18" LC wheels (285/60/18). Will these tires fit?

- Does this make sense? I'd like more sidewall and the ability to lower the tire pressures on the trail. I will keep the stock 20" wheels on for all times of the year.

Thanks for your help!

Do yourself a favor and snag a set of the TRD forged wheels from someone who just bought a Tundra TRD Rock Warrior edition. They bolt directly on, come with 33 tires, look awesome and have zero rubbing issues.

I got my set (with tires) for $1350 total, with about 4K miles on them. I almost felt bad, but hey the guy wanted to dump them so he could buy some 37' tires for his 6 inch lift lol. This scenario happens all the time so you just need to be vigilant on Craigslist.

Using this tool really helps: http://www.searchtempest.com/ as it allows you to search all Craigslist and ebay listings across the USA with one search at one time.

pdx,

Thanks for the suggestion. What tire sizes come with those? I am not really looking for anything special, just to use for a few weeks.

Still looking to see if the regular Tundra wheels and tires fit. Those can be purchased, with tires, for $500.

Many thanks Brian. Seems like a no-brainer to get some of these for the trails.

Now, about those stupid running boards...

From what I've read on here the LC running boards come right off just need to unbolt, and for the LX you just unbolt and install the LC rocker panel
