I like that color alot on a 40

Looks good man. Too late now, but next time you might want to use real masking paper from a paint store or home depot. When sprayed with solvents, newspaper prduces lint, that's gonna be the trash in your paint. Looks good!

Man the things I've learned in the last two days. Started on the doors and had some major paint shrinkage! Turns out the tack cloth wasn't quite enough to clean the surface contamination:doh:. So after liberal quantities of laquer thinner it was good to go.

Was going to go full dissassembly but this is more of an interem paint job (5 or 6 years). After that it will be a frame off. Never worked with an HVLP gun... That thing is the ****! Make anyone look 10X better than they are at painting.

Thanks for the comments.

personally I like your "paint booth".

that's freakin awesome looking...now you got me thinking about one of the cruisers going that color....hhhhhmmmmm maybe the 80 :steer:

I like it!
Im still debating whether the give mine a nice paint job or not....

i'm going to try it just cause it would be good practice on a rig you really don't care too much how the paint looks. just need some decent weather...

Good point Ige.
If it turns out like crap, Then I wont be so hurt if I scratch and dent it :hhmm:

wow, killer!
how much paint did you use? how long did it take you?

Pablo - used about 3 qt. of paint for outside tub, dash, and inside out on the hardtop. Just finished the steelies (thanks jr4asu). Doesn't make my 31's look so small.
