Painted the hood twice in the backyard... Couldn't get the results I was looking for so had to have a shop spray it in the booth. 3 coats and buff, $600... ouch.

Picture doesn't do it justice.

How do you know Fred? Do you own the 40 in his neighborhood?

No, I'm in downtown Long Beach. Jay, AKA ARC1 had mentioned awhile back in one of his threads that he had found a great mechanic in Seal Beach, so I PM'd him for the name and contact info. I'm having some issues with my 383 and had Fred take a look at it. He wasn't able to diagnose the problem (it's slight), because he doesn't have the test equipment to get that far into the engine. But he did give me the name of a guy in San Pedro that does.
Fred's a great guy and we will be doing some projects this summer if the pocket book allows.

Coolant Recovery.

So tired of overflow on the ground!

This OEM for a '75... Not sure if for a 40 however. But sure liked the look.

Looks as though it was meant to be there.

Tire Carrier

Was very nervous about drilling all these holes in my new quarter panel!
Must have measured and re-measured a dozen times. Came out perfect.

Wheh!

Mighty nice job, especially given the restrictions of your working space!
