Alright so i am working on a few things, open to ideas for a name then creating a mail list.

'MUD supports RSS feeds....using the specific link above would bring only those threads from this specific forum. I just entered that URL into the RSS reader included in http://my.yahoo.com

piles of other options too, including having members subscribe to the forum or to a specific sticky/announce thread...rather than backtrack to a maillist situation.

in Raleigh

In a black 97 FZJ80 w/315/75/16's with RE/MAX signs on the sides.

My 72 FJ40 is on 35's and was black/white zebra striped before I stripped it down to rebuild. So unless you've lived in Raleigh for a long time you haven't seen this one on the road in a while.

I vote for Carolina Cruisers. Might piss off the NC State Folks.

It's not just my vehement hate for UNC Chapel Hill, but we probably need to find another name since Carolina Cruisers already exists (in indolence currently).

I am in contact with Carolina Cruisers to try and combine the two, just trying to create an active club. Name may change so any suggestions are welcome.

Some economies of scale with a combination for sure.

JL, the POC, responded to me with interest.

I told him you were kind of spear heading this thing SC62.

I kinda dig the Tarheel cruisers and it would make for a cool logo / sticker too. I'd love slap one on the wifey's Rover :D

why not "Hurricane Cruisers"? Or does that imply too much undesired destruction?

I went to NCSU so the Tarheel thing is kinda not catchy.

Carolina Crushers?

Olde North State Cruisers?

or maybe "mud pie Cruisers" or

NC red mud cruisers

NC 2manyanks cruisers

NC hell's cruisers

NC cruiser mob

NC 5 dollar a gallon cruisers

NC I6offroad

IPAY2PLAY Cruisers

Olde North State Cruisers is to much like Olde North State Rovers, a club that use to exist around Raleigh, NC.

Quickly demonstrating why it's so freakin' hard to get a club together.... :D

TJK

or Tarheel State Cruisers....I'm no Carolina fan by any means so my suggestion has nothing to do with Carolina

or for something simple NC Cruisers

Yeah well, they don't use an E at the end of Old so we'd usurp their "higher" level of sophistication and shove it right up their Gray Poupon arses!! :)

They actually have a decent website that would be worth emulating to a certain degree if we get to that point. A similar member's rides section, trail map links and a calendar of events would be cool.

Yeah, due to the lack of a cohesive NC cruiser club, I wheel with some of the guys from CROC as much as anyone else I go with.

Nice group of guys even if their rigs are inferior. :)

I may be moving to Raleigh this summer, will look you up if I land up there.

I just ran across this thread and the NC group actually. I'm interested in joining a NC club for meetings etc. I don't have a rig to wheel in as mine is in a million pieces in the garage right now, but would be willing to ride as a spotter or something.
