It is not clear if the 2007 LC is Gen 4 Nav

It shows the 2006 LX 470 is gen 4

You can always pull your current disc and check. It is under the pass front seat facing the back seat. Move the seat all the way forward first.

Hmmm, wondering if I should order one for my wife's Outback. I can't find the 15.1 to download via PirateBay, and the 13.1 works fine in it.

If someone has a few minutes and is real bored, can they you look up Nelsonville, Ohio on the 15.1 and see if state route 33 goes straight through town, or around it? A couple years ago they opened a bypass around Nelsonville, and every time we drive through Nelsonville her GPS thinks we're somewhere in the woods.

edit: nevermind, wasn't thinking on the gen3/4 thing. Thinking the subaru must be gen3 and can't get 15.1.

How do you tell which gen nav you have? This disc is from my 2007 Land Cruiser.

Ordered one as well (I retrofitted Gen 4 in my ‘03) to augment Waze.

Edit Update: received, installed, works as advertised. Can’t beat that for $9.95 delivered. (eBay seller graphic-arts)

Same with the one I got. I have noticed that upon morning's first startup I get a slow load and sometimes an error message but it always eventually loads. Still worth the $10 IMO.

I'll chime in as I have a 2007 and it worked for one day and then never again. I tried for about a week and no luck, always getting an "Unable to read data. Consult your dealer" message. I tried to get a refund from this exact same eBay seller but no dice since he didn't have 2007 listed as a compatible year on the listing even after I explained to him that it was the same gen 4 nav system.

Strange. The disc I purchased is working as expected in a drive unit that came out of a wrecked 07 LC, or at least that’s how it was advertised on eBay and the seller yard linked a pic of a front end damaged black LC as the donor vehicle.

Wow... some eBay sellers are just pure a-holes. :-(

This will sound dumb, but have you tried ejecting the DVD and putting it back in?

I tried once and no luck. I still have the disc (which is obviously a burned copy of the original) so I may try again at some point. I use my phone for all navigation, so it's not worth it to me to fight with eBay over this, especially since I only paid $10. I could tell that this guy has a lot of issues with these discs just based on how quick he was to ask questions and have a perfectly formed response. He's probably made a pretty penny on selling these.

That really sucks. The one I got was $14.99, and I’ve had no issues what-so-ever. I use it a lot.

Just keep in mind that the pirated discs are burnt on cheap blancs. I have a legit 2014 that I copied for testing purposes and kept the original. The cheap copy worked very well until it died in under a year. The copy that was burnt on an AZO media still runs. What you can do is the following: create an image file of your DVD and keep burning a DVD here and there every time you need a fresh copy. In UNIX/Linux/MacOSX dd command makes imaging an easy affair.
And if you do make an image, you could upload it somewhere as well for safe keeping

FWIW, I replaced the Gen3 unit in my 03 LX with a Gen4 to get maps a few years newer, plus a newer interface. Took 30 min to swap, and as a double bonus, the Gen3 systems sell for more for some reason, so I made about $100 between buying the Gen4 and selling the Gen3!
