Humm, maybe I need to see if they have 11.1 for the 2006...

I believe they have the same gen 2/3 nav system so probably?

Sorry for the old-thread bump but has anyone tried gen 2/3 12.1 update? available here, though possibly sketchy, especially the first one which it looks like someone is burning and selling, but if it works.......

Something is not right here, the image in the second link states data version 11.1, that is the same data version I installed about 12 months ago with the 2012 update purchased thru Sewell Lexus, plus there is Toyota/Lexus part numbers not on the links image. Basically their description doesn't match the image of the item offered. The first eBay link, who knows if it would load and work. It is also advertised as west coast version, meaning that if it did actually function, you couldn't search POI and FWY entry/exits on the east coast.

^^^^^ Somewhere in that ad or something related to it there was a statement to the effect that the image was not what was being advertised, but was a picture of the older version.

Also, according to info here in nav update threads all recent gen 2/3 updates have been divided into two regions.

THanks for TOFTT vilasman! PLease let us know how it goes?

If I am anything I am chatty. I just bought a hitch carrier bag that will hopefully be here in time for my next trip. Next is the NAV DVD. Now. Do I have to take the passenger seat out to get to the NAV unit

Question. I currently have the 2001 ver. 1 database. I have a 2002 cruiser date of manufacture 04/02. So which NAV unit do I have?

I think if you look under the front passenger side seat, the navigation unit dvd drive is there. I had to loosen my passenger seat to get the plastic cover off that protects the nav unit.

There should be a button that you push and the old DISC should eject out. You replace that with the new DVD drive.

Will search to find the thread with pictures. I did have to take my nav unit out and drain the onboard battery for it to read the new nav DISC dvd since there was a firmware update on the disc.

The NAV ECU is the same as the prius and so is the MFD (head unit).

Oldie but a goodie. Need to do the DVD hack (wire splicing).

The east Coast version of this DVD is available as well and I just bought it. We'll see how it goes

^^^^Did you buy the cheap one that someone's burning themselves? Can't wait for the report!
