I am really intrigued by this build for a number of reasons, mostly because it is different. I really like that you are doing something out of the norm, if for no other reason then because you can.

That said, you mention moving the cab and drivetrain back, are you moving the cab further than the motor, or are you gaining clearance in the trans tunnel by raising the cab or modifying the tunnel?

Are you going to chop the bed to match? Toyota axles, etc?

Forgive me if this is covered, I haven't reread the whole thread in a while.

Keep the updates coming.

All Toyota- Toyota FJ80 axle up front, 97-up 4runner rear to match. Front is 63.5 WMS to WMS rear axle is 60 WMS to WMS

5.29 gears & front True Trac for now and a detroit locker in the rear for now- air locker later to go with cutting brakes I am using.

yes bed will be narrowed, it would look odd if not and have some really poor aerodynamics as well!

and yes engine moves back with cab the same amount so there wont be any difference in space @ firewall at all

pic for reference, 80 Series axle that I am using- without hubs/spindles sitting in front on ground.

I didn't see any mention of an exo? If I put all of this work into the body (never happen because I don't have the skills or patience you do) I'd protect my hard work from damage if possible! Can't wait to see it all done!

awesome build dude , something totally different! i cant wait to see what it turns out like. your like the Boyd Coddington of toyota trucks haha :)

so this seemed badass why did the dream seem to die back in 2012?
