NAPA U-joints

What's the trick for getting a grease gun on them? PO had a shop do one of the joints on my PU, and my gun doesn't have enough space to get on the fitting. This is the second rig I've seen with this issue. WTF with NAPA?

Howdy! I've had the same problem. Don't know about it being a " brand" thing. I had to jack up the truck a little, bu the frame, so the ujoint angle changed enough that I could get the grease coupling onto the zerk. There are also different sizes of coupling for your grease gun. You may be able to find one that is just a bit smaller. John

I use a needle adapter to grease u-joints, works great.

I've never had a problem getting my grease gun coupler between the crosses. 2x on a smaller body coupler.

Howdy! Yup, those work nice. I have one with a zerk already screwed into it and use it like an extension. That way I don't have to thread in onto to grease gun. John

I had that same problem and the people at the counter looked at me like I was stupid. I ended up taking the fittings off of my original ones and putting them on the NAPA u-joints before installing them.
