NAPA has nice oil filters on blowout Fri/Sat.

Hey, heard on the radio this morning that NAPA's got a filter blowout sale on so I diverted to the nearest one and picked up a case of the NAPA Gold 1515. Used my last one last week - coincidence??

Anyhow, this is the nicer and larger of the two that will fit (other on is the 1068?) so it has a fiberglass component to the filter media vs plain paper and is made by Wix for them. They normally cost about $7 each and I paid $3.16 or so.

The sale ends Saturday and I think it's national.

how do these compare to the big version oem filters? does the fiberglass do a better filtration job than the paper? i remember reading a shootout between filters, but dont remember how the napa gold stood in comparison.

The napa/wix has been working fine for me..

I got a case of the 1068s for free... So that it is what I have been using.. Its probably a lifetime supply for me..

Picked up two 1515's at my local NAPA for $9.60 with tax. Counter monkey said that was the normal price though...

My local Napa will have oil filter special on Sat & Sun. Buy one and get 2nd filter of lesser value at 50% off.

The Wix filters, Napa gold, are some of the best out there. I wish mine was having that kind of sale

My store in OH didn't know if they were on sale. They said to check back on Mon after they contact their columbus distributor. Sale will prolly be over by then.


Thanks for the heads up Doug. Maybe I can talk my FIL into picking up a case for me at the good o'l CDA napa by costco. Is that the one you went to? You probably bought them fresh out of all their 80 filters.
