Nakamichi audio in LX450? (1 Viewer)

Did the 96-97 Lexus LX450 have a Nakamichi double-din AM/FM/cassete/CD? Or did the Nakmichi premium sound system come later on the FX470?

I'm wondering if that could be a direct replacement stereo upgrade for my FJ80.

the 'Premium Sound' in my '96 is Pioneer throughout.

My Bro in law has Nakamichi in his 2000

C'dan can tell you when the Nak and Levinson started showing up.

My dad's 97 LX450 has all Pioneer. It wa a late in the year 97, maybe month 9 or 10.

I also have a 97 LX but the radio says "Lexus premium sound". Does yours say Pioneer? Bob

only listing is pioneer. Nak not avail untill Lx470 98 then in 01 they went to mark levenson

Nope....it says Lexus Premium Sound. 'pioneer' doesn't show up until you pull the sub from the center console. Head unit on mine indicated pioneer as well. I also think Fujitsu Ten made a unit for Lexus 96-97. the actual model / part numbers on mine were:
