A little of what I accomplished today. The emblem came out fantastic. Not perfect but 90% satisfied. The center console looks like new. It's been a headache making an inventory of all the parts. Good thing, my memory is stil working. Slow but still ticking.

Wow! Incredibly comprehensive rebuild! I'm amazed by your patience and attention to detail.

Sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread but what type of paint are you using for all the plastic pieces? I dig the color.

Also, that emblem is bad ass - nice job!

Patience? Yes but my wife is all over me. After this project, another one.
Anyway, the paint I used is Acrylic because of the avialability. If I use Urethane paint, the availability of urethane flattening paste is scarce and I have to order this from Manila, the capital city. I decided to use acrylic and have more coats applied to make the finish look better and last longer. Color is 70% metallic silver, 30% jet black and 30% flattening paste of total volume. Gun Metal color.

I missed your question. There is a type of paint particularly for plastic. It is flexible when dry so it does not crack. It is applied as a primer. It is a very good adhesive primer. Check the pics below for some sample.

Very nice again, if you want to replace the steering joint (does not happen often but while youre there...) it is the same as toyota corolla axle joint or something and easy to find.
I would replace if it is on the bench, I think.. and while your there is another dimension for you

Thanks for the advice. I would do that because the joint really is a little hard to twist. I was just not too kin in replacing the U joint because of the part that is not easily available. Does this also mean that the joints of the PTO shaft to the winch is a Corolla U joint?
