Ty, exactly how did you come to the conclusion your radiator was plugged? Did you do some kind of flow test or something? :meh: Before I put mine back together I'd like to "test" mine.
 
drove around til truck was at temp. took to radiator shop. they put IR gun on it and found cold spots that should have been hot. does that make sense.

chris, take your rad to D&T on table rock. they inspect, flush for cheap.

Yep, that summed it up. The old timer at D&T was cool and nice. He actually didn't even use a IR, just felt around the radiator and showed me were the weak spots were. The long story short was even between the 2 fan clutches I tried the clutch itself never got to temp to fully engaged the fan (or how I understood/stand it)

oh and D&T never charged me for the diag... but they did get my money for a new rad.
