2018.04.16 Door lock cylinder refurbishment teaser shot. Write up in progress. Many thanks to @jrmudder92 for gaining access to the vehicle after I found all 3 door locks to be non-operable from the outside...both times. Sometimes it pays to take your 'new' vehicle directly to a monthly meeting before driving 3 hours home!

2018.05.04 Replaced the spiral cable (aka clock spring) assembly. All this because the horn wouldn't function. Still need to troubleshoot and fix the cruise control.

2018. JUNE @NC LX had replaced the steering gear just before I picked up the truck to drive back home. Turns out (ha!) that it wouldn't turn left all the way. Thanks to @GLTHFJ60 for telling me, and @Roxx for showing me, what to do to fix it. Having everything new and clean almost made it fun to work on! At least Rafael "looked" like he was having fun.

2018.08.11 Replaced leaking AC compressor seal and the associated O-rings. Vacuumed the system (thanks @Roxx) and recharged with R134a.

2018.08.25 Replaced PS rear door lock motor assembly with used OEM. Replaced the LED hi and low bulbs with HIR from Candlepower. This required removing the headlights from the front because of the dual battery system. That then required @FJ Junkie to spend 3 hours and 300 Q-tips cleaning things that won't be seen again until the next time the headlights get removed.

2018.09.03 Rebuilt the DS master switch panel mounting holes with JB Weld.

I have to mention that @NC LX did a great job on this truck while he had it. Things are well sorted, clean, and high quality parts were used when something was replaced or added. No rust. It's a good bet that I'm probably just going to duplicate the suspension and electronics that he did to this one when it's time to tackle my 1996 LX. It definitely rides and handles better than my stock or lifted trucks.

@FJJunkie _ I look forward to all your cool ideas with the truck!! super fun that you and John have three LX :)
