I only see the Koni's out there for the front...are they not available for all four corners?

Somebody educate me :)

Call Brian at Jowett.......

Haha just kidding. I don't have the model numbers for you but Brian Jowett can help you with that. He's a support vendor.

When I was in my Radflo pinch he sent me the KONI shocks to try out. No deposit, nothing. Who does that? I loved them so much I bought them.

Radflo was great too. When I discovered that the shocks did NOT like the cold NY winter they offered to rebuild with different oil or take them back.

Those are my two experiences with two great companies. Don't go price shopping, use the little guys here. The arguing happening above adds nothing to do with this thread and I'm sure an admin will delete them

Forgot to mention I have a friend here in NY who has Radflos on his 2008 Land Cruiser. He let me drive his truck when I had Bilsteins. He was the reason I bought he Radflos in the first place. He lives in the city and has had no issues with his Radflos.
My issues occurred during the coldest stretch we've had in NY in a long time. Last January.

My Bilsteins are no longer available. Off to a new home in Colorado. Enjoy!!

Just read your write up and thinking of calling Jowett as not happy with the ride of my OEM shocks on highway rides. Very spongey, almost scary how I feel the truck sway side to side.

Question: Did I read that NEW rear springs are highly recommended with the KONI's?

If so, what did you go with? Like you, I do not really wish to "lift" my truck much higher than stock.

No, I used stock front and rear springs but I have airbags and a compressor that I will install this spring.
I also have the strut spacer that I will install in the front in hopes of leveling the truck. It's OEM off 2013+ LC
It's fantastic on the highway the way it sits but when I load up the rear or put the bike rack on it just needs more support in the rear.
Brian Jowett is awesome to work with.

Hi everyone,

I jut upgraded my original shocks, to Koni Raid. The bad surprise was when I tried to fit them with OME Springs. It does not fit ! No OME fits Koni as all of them are too narrow. So for now I'm stuck with the Toyota original springs, but I really need that 2" lift. I am desperate in finding a right reference for my Koni. I'm ordering from France so we might not have the same products than US or Australia. But If anyone has installed those shock with a 2" lift I'd be very grateful if you could give me your fit ! Other than that, the change in comfort makes me smile each time I'm driving. Incredible improvement, even with original springs !

Thanks a lot !

Yeah, If you search the OME spring you'll find that they only fit the OEM struts.

I bought my Koni shocks from sponsor Brian Jowett (bjowett). He's been trying to source a new spring for the Konis as he runs these in his personal 200.

tJM makes front springs that should fit. #770fr82a. Rear is 770rr82a

At only $180 a pair I'll be tempted to try these this summer if Brian does not find his own solution.

Thanks a lot Arich. Seems like TJM is not available in Europe... I have got two options here, Terrain Tamer or Ironman. What should I choose in your opinion ?

Look out for new post about springs.

Bumping this to the top so you can add a discussion on those BP51s in your sig line :D

LOVE THEM.I have a problem with one of my new SPC UCAs. Bad ball joint on PAssenger side. Once that is fixed I promise a full impression. All in all I spent a lot of money on my upgrade since I also rebuilt just about the entire front end but in my opinion it was worth it.

Hi,
No idea if anyone still following this link from 2014. But I am considering to fit the Koni Raid shocks and replace my current OME shcoks (on my HDJ100)). I read in this thread that with flex there can be a problem that rear shocks "fall out" unless there is a lift? I am running OME rear progressive springs and this setup:

OME303002 Torsion Bars 100 LC Diesel OME60001 Front Shock OMEFK27 OME FK27 TORS/BAR BKT KIT OME2860 OME Rear Springs 100LC OME60002 Rear shock

Will a simple swap out of my 9 year old OME shocks and replace with Koni Raid work? Or is there a possible "flex issue"? This is the 4.2L turbo diesel with heavy ARB Sahara front bumper.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed
