I have had them on the 80 for 1 year in the NW (lots of rain here!)
They are still going strong. Nicest wipers I have had and most expensive.
Molds to your windshield, built in air scoop. The rear OEM is a 16 but I put a 17 icon there with no problems. (17 is there smallest size)
Makes her look 5 years newer too:)

They make a great last minute stocking stuffer:grinpimp:

I second that! Bought a set for my TDI and lllloooovvvvveee them! Pricey yes, but uber quiet and very effective.

Where did you get em?

I haven't used the PIAA wipers, but I'm going to vote for the Bosch blades. 3 years in Oregon and I never found anything better than Bosch. Don't forget, the guys in Oregon will see more hours of rain this week, than you will see in LA all year.

Ah, but how well do they stand up to the pounding Florida sun and rain? Blades here chronically deteriorate from UV exposure. It sucks :(

is there a part number for these wipers? Which one's do I need for the cruiser?

No part #.
Just size

Driver side - 19 in
Passenger - 18 in
Rear - 17 in

Sun in central Oregon at elevation is more intense than FL.
They are holding up well.
Even do good in the mud!
Enjoy.:grinpimp:

I have a feeling Nate was getting at the number of sunny days in FL compared to OR, ~230 vs. 165. Having lived in FL for a few years I understand what he's talking about. I went with a different brand that offers silicone blades and they have held up well. After 3.5 years the company even warrantied them for a set of the latest design.
I was bored waiting for dinner so I compared Bend, OR and Daytona, FL (lived there)
CLIMATE Bend, Oregon Daytona Beach, Florida
Precipitation Days 141 114
Sunny Days 162 230
Avg. July High 82.9 91.1
Avg. Jan. Low 20.9 45.9
Comfort Index (higher=better) 68 26
UV Index 3.2 6.4
Elevation ft. 3,739 33

Yeah, the Florida sun is pretty intense.

Still, I think I'm going to give these blades a shot... worst case the die out as quickly as the regulars, best case they last longer.

kind of a never ending battle in certain geographical areas.

In Malaysia, everyone lifts their wipers up off the windshield during the day. Only thing I can figure is that they don't get as hot up in the air as they would lying against the glass. Funny sight though, walking through a parking lot with all the wiper arms sticking straight up! Wish I'd taken a picture....

JDITOM, that's a fantastic looking truck!! Personally, I've had horrible experiences with Bosch wipers. The rubber insert hardens up after 1 summer. My Toyota ones on the other hand have been great for almost 2 years now. Must be the Utah heat in the summer time that ruins the Bosch blades I had.

I forgot to ask this before...

LX,
What is that thing attached to your hood and what does it do?

Like where I live. All wipers on the outside trucks have to be changed every year. The UV in the summer just kills them. I think we have over 300 sunny days per year, and 100% sunny days from April until October.

I tried Toyota, Silicone and everyone else with the same result. The Toyota OEM on the back of my 60 was in 2 pieces after 1 summer. Not impressive at all. The silicone was the best, but the support structure fell apart in a year.

There is a business opportunity in building a better wiper!

Yes, its called rain-x :D

Seriously, I was in white-out rain on the interstate one night and the only way I could see was if I kept my speed up enough to keep the wind pushing the rain off my windshield. Every else was pulling off the road and the truckers had to slow down, but I was safe going 65, I could see perfectly clearly (albeit less far because of the rain) but no wiper blade could have saved my butt like Rain-X did...

I hate re-applying the stuff but I am a true believer... it works!

Just picked up a 17", 18", and 19" blade. Gonna clean the windshield and put them on to see how they work, since of course it is raining over christmas ;p

Rain-X is good stuff but does not help much in the Sun:)
