45 min conversation with the owner tonight. He didn’t want to talk about the price just yet. Going back tomorrow to take a little better look with a buddy. It’s gonna happen.

Pretty sure it wasn’t parked in a mud hole, looks like sand to me, probably mounded up from the wind. Having grown up in north Texas it probably hasn’t seen much rain! I’m going to guess somewhere along the 287 corridor or panhandle/south plains region from the images.

Can’t believe the PO parked it in a mud bog, hopefully the frame hasn’t disintigrated:lol:

I was just kidding, look forward to seeing some more pics of this find.

It’s very very dirty inside. Good news is there is very little serious rust inside. Mostly just surface stuff. Once I get it home I will clean it up and out and take some pictures that will better reflect it’s current condition. Keep in mind, it’s been sitting for probably two decades.

That’s definately not white;) What a find! Looks to me like inner/outer hatch handles are still “not broken” Careful not to break them. @kevos37 and @Coolerman come to mind as guys who might provide some insight on how to avoid breaking handles.

Make sure you get all the parts he may have stored hither and yon:beer:

Tranny hump isn’t rusted through anywhere. Just surface rust as well. I was pleasantly surprised about that.

Not really sure. Possibly. Hadn’t really delved into that yet. I’m digging the patina look of it.

Just looked it up. I think you may be right there.

Well, done deal. I’ll be bringing her home in the next couple of days. Here’s a few more pictures to chew on.
