Well, I introduced myself earlier this week as a new LC owner, and people wanted pictures. Here they are. This is Ed...I originally named it Lucy but the kids and the wife insist on Ed. Ed is a 95 with only a center locking diff (I think), no exterior blemishes or rust, great interior, and I think the engine compartment looks great for 125,000 miles. I picked him up for $9900 and think I did alright...

Nice looking rig, now ditch the trailer hitch before you hurt someone.

Oh and welcome:flipoff2: ...... I didnt see your first thread

Hey cool, you named your truck after me! Looks just like mine, but two years older and with 18k fewer miles. Congrats!

My truck is definitely female. Should I name her Lucy?

ED/Lucy

Post up more pics of the interior panels. Lets see what he/she has. Does he/she have a diff lock switch? Welcome to the forum. Mistaken identity can be confusing so you'all better figure out what he/she is.:)

You definitely have a lockable center diff--it locks automatically when you shift to low range. You can buy a switch and install it that lets you lock the center diff in High, see the following sites.

http://www.man-a-fre.com/pa/centerdifflockswitch.htm
http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_switches.htm

The key is to look at the lower left of your steering wheel column and see if there is a round dial there that says Diff Lock. if so, you can lock your front and rear diffs!

Congrats on Educy. He/she looks nice!

Thanks. I have been trying to figure out how to post more pics without spending the $20 on the upgrade. I'm trying to justfify buying an FJ60 now and every penny counts. I posted some more pics at:

I don't have any interior shots yet, but it's in great shape.

I broke myself in to the cruiser world by changing my airfilter...and splitting the hose. Could have saved some hassle by reading the FAQ. Doh! I sealed it up with JB weld and I think it's good to go. Now I have to fight the battle with the PO401 engine light code. The little tube on the intake manifold that heads off to the EGR was completely blocked. I cleaned it with a 1/16th in. drill bit but still can't blow through it. Sounds like my Easter weekend is planned.

Did you mean when I shift in to low range? I checked your links. Thanks! That is definitely on the "must have" list.

No such luck. I was hoping for one with all the lockers, but at $9900 and in great shape I wasn't going to argue. We have been looking for about 4 months now. With spring here the search was getting old. This will be the family car, replacing the minivan. I'm hoping to replace my Subaru with an FJ60 and make that the "rig".

The trailer hitch is only on there so the kids can climb in the back more easily. It definitely comes off before leaving the road and heading for fun.

Are all the driveways in Utah that narrow?

Welcome!
Yes, but they all lead to Moab.

I know...the porch thing...I was desperate for a pic. The good one on the foothills I missed because I didn't have a camera with me.

But hey! Now that I know I have my porch, I won't buy ramps for doing oil changes! "Watch your step dear, it's a little slick out there."

Cool deal. Welcome aboard the addiction. You had better not let your wife find this site and see that you will soon be spending your children's college fund on Ed.

It is an addiction! I have been out looking at Bull bars, sliders, roof racks, lockers, lifts, and tires all week. My productivity at work has dropped to almost nothing and when I get home I just want to work on the emissions issue or go for a drive. It's too bad the snow is still so low in the mountains and everything is mush here. The tires I have won't do much. I was up until stinking 1:00 am this morning looking at accessories!! Shoot, I was so desperate for action I drove it up on my porch! What a loser.

Hide the AmEx, quick!

Cool!

So, what do we call you? Kinda funny calling you Lucy if your a dude and your truck's name is Ed. Unless your name also is Lucy, which is OK too.

Well, I grew up in the San Fran bay area, but it's not like that...NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

You can call me Matt (Is that too much info for the internet?) I thought about changing the user name, but my wife convinced the kids to change Ed to Lucy this week, so we're back in business.

Ed/Lucy/Matt:
just send Woody the 20 spot and be done with it. Get a couple of the beer coozies while yer at it and a sticker too!

Better pay the IT guy at work 20 bucks not to block this site from you !!

I wish I had a porch...

FYI - Slee Off-Road sure does a nice job is adding the additional install instructions with all their parts... hint, hint. )

Yeah, I've educated my wife on what sliders are (not how much they cost) and the kids learned the first week what the handles on the ceiling are for. I figure the best way to get a beefed up suspension is to create a need for it..."What?? the [insert part name here] needs to be replaced? I guess we may as well upgrade since we're doing it already!"

Anybody had luck with that yet?

I made her think it was HER RIG. After that, buying parts was much easier! :D
