Disclaimer: I wasn't looking for a "RTT" or "Adventure" trailer, looking for a place to haul camping gear and stuff. Nothing too exotic/fancy. Wanted to build something that will survive another 40yrs.

Picked this up a few months back from Guambomb, had it shipped from Oklahoma City out to California. It had been blasted/powder coated but I am anal and didn't like the idea of leaving the reappearing rust alone. So... I completely disassembled the frame and had it blasted/powder coated. Same with wheels (not stock m416, but looked cool nonetheless). Replaced all hardware, shackles, shocks, u-bolts, rebuilt hubs, new NDCC tires, etc.

I had the tub powder coated to nearly match my BJ42. Had tub lined with Speedliner, over the rail and in the wheel wells. Looks great and seems to be a quality product.

I'll post more pics as I get more done, but here is a start. I will likely switch to military style tail lights, the ones on there are not very bright. If my converter will power LEDs, that is my preference. I still have to replace the reflectors and drain plugs.

I NEED: all parts of the handbrake system. If you have them, let me know!

How it arrived...

A few more. Ah yeah, that's the ticket! And yes, I'm using the old data plate - I think it looks cool. Highly recommend getting a professionally-applied bedliner. Some things in life are worth paying someone else to do - bedliners are one of those things, IMO. The seam on the tub rail was a perfect line for the liner, it looks awesome.

Part of the trailer security system. Rodney is much friendlier than he looks - unless you are up to no good. And yes, he always seems to know...

Thanks for all the info and posts, this forum was invaluable in the rebuild process.

Looks great ( I wouldnt want to use it )
as for the axle and rims they looks to be off a older M100 trailer

So if you don't mind me asking, what was the brand and color number used for the powder coating?

No problem. It was Tiger Powder, color code 1027, I believe. to see many colors, http://www.tiger-coatings.us/index.php?id=1325&L=1 - scroll down and download the .pdf RAL exterior/interior colors to get an idea.

Originally, I was shooting for a exact color match. But then the guy did a little "bait and switch" on the color-matching price. Using the brochure and a color sample, I tried my best to match. I ended up with a color in the ballpark, but just enough to realize it's not the same. Grrr. Oh well, it's bad ass either way, right. I need to get it dirty and less shiny, that will help :D

Keep in mind my BJ42 is supposed to be Toyota 532 (Klondike Gold/Mustard)....HOWEVER, the respray done on it over in NZ isn't true 532...again, close but no cigar. I think the Tiger 1027 and actual toyota 532 would be a closer match... but test it out first.
