My key fob case broke (1 Viewer)

My aftermarket Denso key fob case broke right around the screw that holds the case together. Now it pops open all the time and the controls fall off in my gym bag and sometimes on the floor.

I found two replacement kits. Anyone has used these as a key fob case replacement on the GX470?

I'm leaning towards the AJT Design FOB Case since it's less than half the price and looks pretty sturdy.

I find it difficult to spend anything more than $15 on a key shell. Search for Stauber on Ebay or Amazon ($12).
It's ugly but it's sturdy and strong. They come in different colors. I wanted a color that stands out.

I think I’m going to splurge and get the AJT case. I like it better and it is protecting the key fob remote and the paired key which is a pain to do and more expensive than the case.

That thing is hideous! I will definitely be going with the AJT designs if mine ever breaks.

For $80 they should be way better than the $35 AJT ones. @Dharma Dude $10 amazon special is looking better and better

Make sure you have an original Lexus key. My replacement denso key didn’t quite fit the provided tiny plastic adapters for the metal key. I tried to modified the plastic adapters and they broke. Cut my finger too with the blade.

Anyways, my denso key has a different shape than a stock oem Lexus key and the kit doesn’t quite fit. So, the metal key is loose and misaligned inside the AJT case.

Im gonna try hot glue to hold it in place.

The fob electronics fit perfectly onto the AJT case. Just the denso metal key has a different shape than I saw on the videos.

Are Lexus and LC fobs the same? On Amazon the one specifically for LC is only in black, but the one for Lexus (and other models) is available in different colors.

The GX fob is definitely different from the LC key fob
