You will have a couple of problems in the US. I dont think you can import it into the US, safety regulations and what not. You wont find parts for it since they didnt have the 1KD engine, and they didnt have the 90 series in the US. You can always import, a lot of latin american countries had the 90 series and the diesel engine. Are you going to keep it in mexico or in the states?

I will go in mexico... but I think that from US it's more easy to find spare parts.... So you suggest me to try it in latin america?

The only spare parts you could find in the US would be parts that where shared with a 4Runner. I'm not sure how many of the parts were similar. There will be nothing for the Diesel engine. I don't think you won't find much in Diesel Prado's in Mexico either. I've never seen an older Prado in Baja. You might have to look to Costa Rica for parts. I would imagine getting parts from Costa Rica to Baja could take weeks if not months.

If I where you I'd consider picking up a Toyota 4Runner in Southern California. Sadly, it won't be diesel, but for roughly the cost of shipping your Prado, you can get a nice older 4Runner. For a little more you can get an 80.

Pretty much everything in Baja is sourced from the US in San Diego, trying to get anything from mainland Mexico or anywhere else would take quite a while.
