I've had an occasional squeek since I installed my Hanna sliders a couple months ago. The noise was coming from near the cat protection, would go away for days at a time, and would then suddenly come back for a couple of days.
There's another thread on this topic where someone else had a similiar problem, and the issue in that case was the pinch weld under the doors rubbing against the sliders. I initially assumed I was having the same problem, but couldn't find a spot where the two touched. I was starting to worry that I had enough flex in my exhaust that the cat and the protection were rubbing.
I figured out the problem last night, and it was an easy fix. Towards the back of the the cats, there is a separate piece of heat shield that's probably intended to keep the passenger's feet from cooking. There's a lip on this piece that's just behind the cats on the ouside of the vehicile.
The lip was just barely touching the slider. With just a tiny bit of pressure, the back of the shield would "turn inside out" and wedge itself against the slider. This is probably what happened when it went quiet. When it popped back out, then I'd get the irritating squeeking noise.
I gave it a quick bend with a pair of channel lock pliers, probably half an inch or so, and the noise is now gone. If you're squeeking, give it a quick look.
