My Ebay purchase of a Lexus LX470 with 24,930 miles finally arrived.
Babied Santa Barbara, Cal car.
Previous owner put down plastic over floor mats.
Took 2 weeks to get here. Truck broke down.

Wow is she like new, drives great. Everything seems to work AFAIK.
It was the exact color I wanted and more low mileage than I was hoping for.

This forum won't let me load more photos.

This LX470 is to replace my 2000 Isuzu Trooper ... quite a step up even considering my Trooper is a nice vehicle too.

This California girl is going to become a Southern girl :-)

Yeah I paid a princely sum for her --- $23,500 --- but I looked at new cars and nothing tripped my
trigger like the LX470's I test drove. When this 24,000 mile example came up on Ebay and
in the exact color combination I wanted, I had to have it. Every other LX470 I looked at had
over 100K miles. A month ago I made an offer of $18,000 for a 2004 LX470 that had 110K miles,
exceptional maintenance history, been in an accident deploying airbag but was nice, but was
silver color - ok but not my favorite. Dealer refused my offer and wanted $19,300. This one
is a much newer vehicle, and its less expensive than anything new I looked at and still did
not really like.

Ha ha, that is great! you got the color you wanted, and the dealer blew the sale. The longer the dealer sits on that, I am sure the less they want to come down...

WOW!!!! Just wow, that is really super clean man congrats on your new ride.

All I got is ........WOW!

What are your plans with it?

Plans? Baby this LX470. Going to be our primary traveling vehicle.

Did note a slight rattle sounding like its from the Drivers Door that started up on our second drive.
Gotta sort that out.

I note that it feels like I'm sitting much higher up than in my 2000 Isuzu Trooper.
I think I'm going to really enjoy this vehicle.

Shazam ! Looks like you did good ...

If you mod the suspension, can I have first shot at the AHC globes. I'd take the rear springs, but just replaced mine. :-)

If rattle is high up, might be loose wiring loom in headliner.

I had a rattle that drove me nuts in my LX470. I looked everywhere but couldn't track it. It was coming from the passenger side and I thought it was coming from the door. I finally had my wife drive it while I sat in the passenger seat and I realized the rattle sounded like it was directly above my head and not down in the door like I had thought. I had her pull over and checked the roof rack. Sure enough the front factory cross bar on the roof rack was loose. The nut was almost completely out. I tightened it down and the noise was gone. Something so simple and yet I almost lost my sanity trying to track it down.
