We always thought we were so lucky that Roscoe never got into it with a porcupine...

200 quills, mostly in the roof of his mouth, and 1000 dollars later he's alright. Poor guy. :whoops:

my pop's brittany did that once while we were backpacking 20 miles into the sierra nevada.

we had to tie his paws together and remove each one with pliers.

it was not fun. poor pooch.

Dude, those things have barbs - that definitely didn't feel good.

Do they really have barbs?

yes, they have nasty little barbs.

you could tell it did not feel good.

hurt us watching but there was nothing else we could do.

not like you can push them through like a fish hook and there was no way to put the dog under way out there.

fxxxer never bit a porcupine again after that, bet your ass.

haha, my mom wants to make one of these with the quills..

you can barley feel the barbs when you run your finger up the quill.

but let me tell you, those quills get into your skin real easy and they do not like to come out.

imagine its what its like when the barbs of your penis dont retract and your ready to pull out. sucks for momma.

Figures it would be a Malamute. Dumbest dogs on the planet. Ours is a complete numb-skull.

Our snow dog is a repeat offender. I managed to pull the 12 quills he acquired 2 weeks ago with my wife straddling him. The prior time it was more than that and we had to take him to the vet, too.
