Nice Rig! The lift makes it a different animal.
Is that a Hummer in the garage?

^^ What he said, I just noticed the H1 sitting back there. Also, did you build your trailer?

Nice rig! Black is a great color for the LC/LX shape

Did you refinish the factory LC wheels? They look really shiny in the photos.

Yes, it's my 1999 AM GENERAL HMCS 6.5L Turbo Diesel (See pics below)

We call that guy Brown Santa. Rig looks very nice. I remember when mine was shiny.

LOL "The Brown Santa" I love it!

I'm a part of an H1 Offroad group called "H1 Psycho Squad" Here is a video when we did Golden Crack in Moab Utah

The trailer is a Canadian Military M101 trailer that I just purchased to tow behind the 80. It was already fully restored. Looking to have a top made and a tent put on top.

Installed a ScanGauge II to my 80. Link to the features here
photo_sg2_1b.jpg

I opened the fuse cover, unscrewed the OBDII connector, connected the ScanGauge, routed the cable from the OBDII to the ScanGauge under the dash, unscrewed the radio cover, drilled a hole in the empty slot (ie cup holder slot) ran the wire through and 3M double sided tape to the scangauge

SoCal,

Thanks for the visor fix, Or, my wife thanks you for the visor fix....
They drive her nuts. I will be on that today.
I thought I had the only Burgundy/Wine colored H1 in existence, I have never seen another the same color.

Nice find! How many miles on it?

FireGuy, It is a '96, had 29k on it when we got it. Has about 40 on it now. Not a DD. Drive it when I am home in Canada, and my folks use it a little.
Get it dirty a couple times a year, works as well as it should....
Pretty sure I would give it up for the HDJ81 if I had to.
But, in the Brute Force department, there isnt much that comes close.

Thanks for all the kudos everyone.

Does anyone have an idea where to find projector lamps like that? They're easy to find and cheap for an FJ80, but since the LX's lamp fit is different, that doesn't work. I have a nearly identical LX that I'm planning some mods for (more every day) and I'd love to find something like those.

Those are projectors for an 80, he swapped in an fj80 grill to fit them and put the Lexus emblem on it.

X2, from what I've read there aren't any projectors available for the LX grill. Obviously there are, I'd love a set of those.

What size tires are you running on the LX?

See above reply, that's an fj80 grill swapped in to fit fj80 head lights.
