Well.... house move and not much been done.... now getting the engine back together.... will get small bits re-plated at a later date....
 
Looking good what turbo setup did u use ?
 
The kit was from Jefferson state machinery..... seems ok so far....

Now just need to sort or ditch a 5speed which has issues...or go with the 4 speed....
 
With the Turbo I would keep the 5 speed and sort it as having the 5th is nice and the turbo uses it. Not to mention better resale value.
 
Ok.... got another 5spd from a late 60 series and rebuilt with new input shaft (for3B) used the 40 series top so should plug straight in...


Lots of good links on mud relating to better input bearing oiling on late H55 box and difference between the 40 & 60 series top plates.... not an option for me to move engine forward as chassis is galvanised....

It’s the cleaning that takes the time... and the circlips even with the right tools are a real PITA..... but looking good.... next is the xfer box.... which will get the same treatment....
