I want that Dbl Cab hilux... you guys have no idea how lucky you are! I wouldve portal'd the hilux over the runner though...

We have plenty of dbl cabs over here, but that is a special one. It came stock with SA and is RHD. It has heavy duty brakes, same as 4runner front and rear. And it has the short bed, which makes it perfect.

I would never put MY portals on HIS truck...:lol::lol:

Had to do something... 1 ring down, 3 to go...

There is a guy in Canada that does fiberglass replacement fenders that have built in flairs. He has +3" for '88, but don't see for the following body style. He also will do custom work. I'm thinking when it comes time I'll have him make me a set of high clearance with flairs for my '94. He normally posts over at 4x4wire and has been doing Trekker restorations.

yeah but i want wide one like the artic trucks im not goint to lift my new 89 dxl just going to stuff from 32-33's on it and a new set of rear springs maybe a 3in block and some bj spacers up front with a custom steel bumper like on the asplundh utility trucks just not as big already dubed it "The Lil Rover" and going to paint it snake light green with black strips from the front to back what do yall think it's posted in my albums and under the tread new truck 150$

First, luxury sells, and second it really isn't all that much more expensive anymore. Unfortunately each different interior costs $$$ to design and means production volumes for interior specific parts is lower. In fact some luxury options are cheaper than the non luxury ones when overall sales volume and design costs are added up. Electric door locks with remotes is just an example. Often it is cheaper to have them all electric with a remote than to also design and manufacture a manual setup. Especially when you figure you aren't going to sell many cars without them. Once you have the remote and it's controller it is cheap to just make every car with an alarm in it. More than 3/4ths of the needed circuits are already there so why not add it to all as it's only a couple $ more. The $300 car alarm and $300 glass breakage sensor options are then "installed" by a guy at the factory plugging into the CAN bus and telling it is enabled or disabled in this car.

For my farm trucks I just buy a truck with the needed features and take whatever interior I get with them. I literally go to the dealer with a list saying I want these features and ask them to find trucks that match. The last truck I bought sight unseen.
