about this set of LED lights... does anyone know if they can be easily wired independently (not connected to parking lights) with 3 positions: low(dimmed)/high/off ?

X2. I would love to have these switched independently as driving lights. Not DRLs. Is that possible?

Hi...it´s very simple

...a DRL (with dim option) has three cable

mass (-) brown
ignition (+) yellow
light (+) red

you need 2 relays, 2 switches and 1 diode and you can play with ...

1) switch # 2 = DRL high on / off - driving or parking (switch # 1 is off)
2) switch # 1 = DRL low on / off - driving or parking (switch # 2 is off)
3) DRL hight or low with switch # 1 (switch # 2 is on)
4) both switches off - DRL is off

Stefan/HDJ82, the diagram above is great--this really helps, thanks!
I'm familiar with the relays and switches, but can you say more about the specifics of the diode? (what type exactly and where can I buy one?) Or does anyone know if the LED kit includes the diode?
I looked at the Philips site and PDF, but there's no real details.
There's an online instructional video, but it only covers a standard install tapping into the parking lights:

Great setup! Looks nice and clean...

Oh I've done it. I'd rather pay people to do it :flipoff2:

I thought maybe you had. But now you likely have limited space in the garage.

Three folding tables loaded with crap I eventually will install into both my LX and my 60 along with a workbench and storage, all prevent much else from happening in my garage than the essentials :D

I hear ya. My garage is packed as well.

I'm hoping to be putting torch to metal on the ARB this coming weekend since its one of the few free weekends. Any chance your hard word can find its way to my mailbox this week? :D

In for a set of two, thanks WildYoats for doing this.
