Just picked up this '94 80 series yesterday. It drives great! I have a short list of maintenance I'd like to do to start. The rear passenger wheel bearing needs attention, the transfer case has a minor leak, which I knew when I agreed to buy it. I need to get the rear driver side door panel back on. The PO was working on the window last.
The pre-purchase inspection showed a leak at the yoke seal, the transfer case leak is at the speedometer cable connection point. Rear bushings are toast/new shocks, but I can address that all at once with a lift kit. I also have the original MAF which I'm going to look into getting rebuilt.

Today I spent some time vacuuming the entire rig to remove dog hair from PO. Also did a little interior detail cleaning to remove old dust and and grim from the plastics. It'll get a proper detail later this week.

I'd like to get new seatbelts in it and a new carpet kit would be a nice improvement/refresh for the interior. It would be nice to get under the seats and really get it clean. I have the jump seats for the back too, but I may remove the bolts/mount back there for them, I kind of like the space in the back.

I figured if just keep this in my thread to stay organized on what I'm thinking for upcoming mods/things I'd like to resolve:

This is my classic car, so I'm working on things to make driving it fun/enjoyable (not that it isn't already) but things like below:
- refreshing carpet
- new seatbelts
- new headlights (or just LED bulbs) still deciding. I can't stand the halo look headlight assemblies, so looking to see if there are other options.
- likely new stereo with back up cam
- mobile ham radio set up
- speakers (maybe)
- driver seat foam cushion is "shedding" from underneath a little.
- the rear passenger window won't roll down from the driver seat master switch, but all the other windows work both at the door and driver seat.

Looks great! I'm on the hunt for one as well. I'd like to semi-daily one to keep some miles off our 200..

Still debating if that's a smart move but man I'd love one!

Will be watching to see your progress 👍

Nice ‘94, congrats! Even got the cloth seats like I have in my ‘94!! Having had the leather seats in my ‘95, those cloth manual seats are a big upgrade, especially with new OEM foam!

Send your seatbelts to safety restore and get new webbing, it’s worth it. Depo makes some nice bright alternative headlights that are much brighter. Save your old ones they are worth a couple hundred each.
This place sells them cheeper than anyone else
Here's the website that I was talking about for Depo headlights: https://cars245.com/en/catalog/manufacturer-depo/car-toyot.198.4778/

212-1173L-LD-E is the factory-looking headlight with the fluted lens. 212-1173PXLD-E is the crystal-clear lens version, like what I have.

Thanks! This 80 more found me than me finding it, but it's worked out great. I originally wanted a 60 series, but found that this just suites me and my family better :)

Thanks! You can get new OEM foam? I'll have to look into that. The driver's seat is the worst with shedding foam.

That's perfect, thanks for the link. I was trying to find those Depo lights last night.

As of a couple years ago you could still get the OEM foam from Toyota. Here is a thread with the part numbers and a good how to on replacing them yourself:
