Cargo area floor carpeting is wet. The wheelhouse carpets aren't. Where could the water be entering from? I drive a seven seater with a sunroof and sliding side windows.

The vehicle wasn't running when this happened. I left it parked outdoors during a storm.

Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

sounds like your truck is doing a land cruiser not a land rover. If it was doing a land rover your post would have involved a tow truck story.

If the water is in the back it may be from the sunroof drains that drain into the sides of the back under the sliding windows. if the hoses are out of the proper drain holes the water just runs into the truck. To diagnose take off all of the panels and sit in the truck while someone sprays the truck with the hose.

Thanks. Would anyone be generous enough to post pics? :)

The rear sunroof drain goes down via the rear C-pillar into the cavity under the rearmost sliding window, right?

yes one on each side.

Actually I also have some wet carpets up front. But I think it was coming from the base of the DS front wiper and we may have sealed it up already.

Is there any good remedy to the belt line thingie short of getting a new part? What kind of wire should I use to poke the sunroof drains?

i use a tubing brush attached to the end of a wire snake and it works well.

Where does the rear sunroof drain exit? Where do I look for it under the car? I know the front drains at the rocker panels but how about the rears? Thanks!

Here you go again.
This is inside your rear side panels and exits the floor inside of the panels.

Thanks. How does it exit the vehicle? No slit like the fronts? I can see the hose from the tool panel. Time to stand on my head. Hehe

Arrgh...my floors are still getting wet. I poured water through the front drains and the water went down to the drain opening behind the front rocker panels. Could water be draining to the correct drain yet still making the (driver's side) floor wet? I have no water messing up my ceiling or pillar upholstery.

The rear drains are the hose like things that stick out on the inner side of the rear overhang, right? I did not take pics but I can take some tomorrow. They also seem to be draining water.

For the wet cargo area, I'm staring to suspect the windows already since they were removed for cleaning sometime back.

Any help/input would be appreciated. Thank you.

The water in the front is coming from your windshield. I have the same problem and i haven't fixed it yet. There are threads on here telling you how to rectify the issue.

Thanks. For the rear cargo area, water seems to be accumulating behind the wheelhouse. But I think that doesn't help a lot since a sunroof or window problem produces the same result

No leaks on the sunroof or fresh air intake at the base of the windshield or around the windshield itself when we poured water on said areas.

But there was a huge gaping hole where the steering column penetrates the fire wall. I forgot what this gasket is called. Will definitely order one ASAP. Please help me identify.

Took out the luggage area trim panels and started pouring water from the outside. Water was entering through the clips of the chrome trim on the bottom of the side window and through the clips holding the plastic trim behind the rear quarter glass.

Put some sealant there too. I hope this solves my rainy day problems. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you to all those that helped me with this problem both online and offline. :)

Photos to follow very soon.

As promised.
