Dropped off the ute today at the panel beaters. The replacement tub is painted and ready to be swapped.

Thanks guys i'm really happy with it. I picked up second hand wheel arch inners and a replacement radiator support bar today from a breakers yard. Also picked up some door handles and windscreen wiper spindles which had also gone, this is common apparently. Dropped it all of at panel beater, he wasn't happy, said he was having to heat up most of the bolts because they were shearing off. He's painted the roof, rear panel and the front posts, reckons the end of the week and it'll be done 2pac inside and out. :)

Good work bud, bet you can't wait to get the new paint muddy

Thanks Clint, gotta get all the mechanical stuff sorted first. Saw an ARB bar off of a 78 series at the breakers but the rails and bar step won't fit the 75. I've told him to call me if he decides to split the bar from the rails as the bar should fit the 75. I also checked out the TJM bar which I liked as it has side lights and indicators in the bar where the ARB bar only has indicators.

The bar will fit if its pre 07, I turfed my scrub bars and installed some fender flares.

Why's that, the flares wouldn't fit inside the rails?

They wouldn't fit inside my scrub bars , you can get bars to suit flares but i didn't find a need for them.

The roof, windscreen, doors, bull bar and front panels all removed. She looks a bit sad.

Definitely needed the new inners.

Convertible. Had to heat up all the bolts to get the bull bar off.

Nice shiny new bolts. Some are stainless for inside the cab.

Yeah I have, I've wrapped everything in white electrical tape and written on the tape with a permanent marker. Trying to minimise the number of left over bolts :)

More painted parts. The windscreen surround which is fibreglass and the radiator support bar I got from the breakers which looks brand new.

Are you in Australia Michael? What kind of condition are you looking for?

Hi,

Yes I am in Australia

I am in SA and am looking for an 1990's HJZ75 landcruiser ute with the 1hz engine, 5 speed, a/c, p/s etc

My budget is around $7,000 - $8,000

Very little rust, preferrbly in white

Thanks ........ Michael

Not sure about SA but I reckon you'll be lucky to find one with no rust for that price. When I was looking they ranged from $5,000 up to $20,000 for a 75 series. I paid more for mine than you want to pay and you can see what I'm dealing with. You never know though you might get lucky. Try and steer clear of anything that has been near a mine. Look for a farm ute that's done light work and don't be put off by high kms. You can see from mine where you need to look for the rust, good luck and post some pictures or links when you find one.
