Winter is coming. Become a LAND CRUISER enthusiast! I have two but only have room for one. Need to sell one. The other is a 1996 FZJ80 also going on Craigslist.
The Good:
The 4.7L V8 engine is powerful and produces 230 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque which allows the LX 470 to earn a 6,500 lb towing capacity.
Runs great and drives smooth. Good brakes. My teenage son says, "That V8 is hard to tame."
The Lexus LX 470 is the high-end version of the Landcruiser for the American market. Although the Toyota Land Cruiser's off-road abilities have never been in doubt, and this one has comfort and luxury to spare. This one is fun in the snow and safe! with dual airbags, front crumple zones, side impact resistant door beams, leather steering wheel trim, tilt adjustable steering wheel. Dual heated leather seats, wood grain trim, power door locks, power windows, dual retractable power mirrors. Auto dimming rear view mirror. Climate control keeps the inside temperature just right and a premium seek-scan Am/Fm/Cassette. Center console with plenty of storage, factory power moonroof, 60/40 rear seat, split folding bench second row seat fold up third row jump seats.
The locking differential system is designed for use in extreme, poor traction situations. With the center differential switched to the locked position, both axles are driven in unison, with equal torque distribution.
Independent double wishbone suspension with torsion bars, Rear free floating solid axle with multiple links and coil springs, 4 wheel anti lock, full time four wheel drive. Lexus adds Adjustable Height Control suspension with low, medium, and high settings, and variable comfort control. Keyless entry remote, factory running boards, full sized spare tire underneath the rear. Brand new LT265/75/16 tires.
The Bad.
CD Player doesn't work. Antenna doesn't go up and down automatically anymore. A/C needs at least a re-charge. Rust starting to form on frame, and back tailgate shows evidence of rust repair. Driver's seat has rip in leather. Various stains on carpet. Other than that, I can't think of anything that doesn't work as it should.
