Awesome visuals - thank you and happy 4u!

Is there a thread or link to a sheet where someone's organized and listed all the part #s and qtys for a thorough engine refresh project like this one?
I don’t know that there is a specific thread or sheet where someone has listed out all of the part numbers. I’ve kept a rather decent list of what I’ve used, but it is different for everyone. Not everyone needs to replace the timing belt cover, etc.

I understand, but a single source that's comprehensive would be great as a start. Then one can make a decision if they need or don't need a new timing belt cover as an example.

Getting closer to mounting the transmission to the engine. One thing I hate about the Pittsburgh engine hoist is no matter what you do the engine can’t move freely and end up in the direction that you want it to. So today I purchased a Crosby swivel hook that supports 2 tons. I’m not sure why I didn’t do this along time ago.

So, the days go by. Engine and transmission are bolted together now. Everything is in place. Last pieces are coming in tomorrow, a few breather hoses for the transmission, a union bolt for the oil filter, and.. I think that's about it. My plan is to get this put in this coming Saturday. Wishing that I had a 3rd or 4th person to help out. I'll start early and take it slowly. It's been a long wait.

Well, the day came and it got done. Some things that I’ll do different next time include a better hoist with bigger wheels, pneumatic leveler, and pneumatic hoist. Perhaps most important, I want a set of Japaneese vice grip fingertips.

Shifter pieces installed. Drive shafts installed. Rear heater hoses installed. New fuel lines and fuel filter installed. Attached hoses to steering box and vane. Put on some wire loom to keep things protected well into the future. Overall, got a lot done. I'm hoping to put in the radiator tomorrow, get the wiring harness back to ECU, and maybe get the air cleaner installed.

I installed sound deadening under the shifter. Also did underneath the vehicle with 2 level sound deadening.

cleaning was fun.

Just ordered the new OEM carpet. They’re proud of that carpet... It’s the perfect fit though.

I’ve been bad about updating this thread.

Level 3 soundproofing is almost done. I’ll post some pictures. New OEM carpet is ready to put in. Ran some extra pairs of wire to the back, just because. Already have 1/0 cables going back but put some 10, 12, and14 back with a coil at the end.

Finally started her up, wow! Oh what a feeling!

Ran the engine intermittently for probably 30 minutes. Continuing to check fluids, etc. timing advanced by 3.

Headlights on. New compressor, drier, evaporator (heat exchanger really), and expansion valve arrive today to get installed.

Almost finished with interior soundproofing.

Are you gluing the joints on the rubber sound mats? By doing so, you will significantly increase the effectiveness of the mat.

I’ve not considered gluing the joints. Good point.

So, finished the soundproofing today. 2 layers throughout. Looks good.

Then installed the new stuff 😊

OEM carpet is the only way to go. I went crazy and bought a BUNCH of extra carpets for later use as they’ll eventually make that discontinued thread.

Looks great...do you mind sharing how much you paid? I’m seeing prices ranging $670-1K. Was considering going with stock interiors as they get good reviews and are much cheaper. Oak carpet is beautiful

I paid $700 a piece for them. The OEM ones fit everywhere perfectly. Pricey, but Zero frustration on installation.

The new motor has 2500 mikes on it now. I’ve changed the oil twice. Zero issues. So nice to drive.

It looks almost as good as the day it went in.
