I try to get a non-Toyota muffler for my BJ70. (the actual factory muffler is BO in Canada).

Is some one here who have a BJ70 can tell me some spec ?

If you have a Toyota muffler :

In-take diameter
Out-take diameter
Height
Length
Width

If you have a non-Toyota muffler :

In-take diameter
Out-take diameter
Height
Length
Width

Any part reference ?

Any brand reference ?

Any picture ?

Please help !!… answer fast…. My Cruiser make so much noise !!!

PS: Greg_B : Is G&S have some BJ74 muffler who can fit on my BJ70. If yes. Please repply and/or PM me for a price.

BJ74 muffler looks identical to the BJ70 muffler, very very large.

Consider a high flow muffler with less restriction, of course this will be a tad louder.

Hi David,

I had a shop here quote me under 1000 for a complete stainless system from the manifold to the rear bumper. I will have that done for my next cruiser - only stainless from now on.

And like Rob says, go with a high flow.

Regards

I think the stock one is 1 7/8 ID on both the entry and exit. If you are running turbo, you should run 2.5". I run "unbaffled" mufflers on most of mine, I have tried the performance turbo on one and it is loader than the rest, another one has a Diesel turbo performance muffler that works pretty good but I can tell you any unbaffled muffler would be fine. All of mine are 2.5 to 3" but I am running turbo.

Hope that helps, good luck

By now I have the two first pipe at home.

I went to a muffler supplier with the second pipe and the muffler line picture to buy a muffler. He told me he need more information to sell me the good muffler.

I tough that was easy to remplace and find a new muffler... but he need many information I don't have by now.

That the reason of that thread...

Any other information will help me.

Ok thank everyone. I buy a brand new one from my local muffler shop.

I bought a massy ferguson tractor muffler from TSC ran me 25 bucks, hacked off the stock toyota one and bloted it on, got a 50 pound weight reduction and way better flow.
