I have been on Mud for around 1 year. The web site is so slow. I get Error 7 timed out page on almost every click. I have DSL and get about 1.3mbs download speeds on average. Not sure if that is an accurate number. But it just seems like Mud is the worst site for speed. It is almost unusable.

I do have the Android app and love it. It works great from the same DSL line. Any thoughts on this?

First 'slow' report the site has had in over a year... don't know what to tell ya, we spend a lot on optimizing and ensuring things run as fast as possible...

Hi Woody,
Not sure what is up but most other sites just crank right along. Mud just crawls. Not sure what is up.

Let me guess you have a netgear router.

speed now is as fast as it's ever been in my recollection. Not noticeably slow at all for me, and I'm even running an old desktop.

I've been seeing some slowness the last couple of days using Safari Woody, tested my internet to make sure it wasn't just me. I'm getting 6Mbps download according to speedtest.net so I don't think it's that, just lots of black pages with only a header and avitars not loading :frown: Not sure man, just giving the heads up -

FWIW - switched to Firefox and the site is much faster, do you do any cross browser testing? Something seems to be slowing Safari, I'm guessing some of the adware -

I tested the wireless router and it must have problems. Qwest speed test is normal thru with a network cable connected to the computer, but wireless is another issue. I am going to switch it out when I have time. It is funny that Mud is the one site that is really slow at times. I can stream video but Mud won't connect. It seems to be intermittant. Sometimes it seems normal other times I cant load the page?

Not a huge issue, I thought maybe it was a site problem, but must not be. Sorry if I offended anyone.

What router? My memory isn't that great, but there is one brand that is terrible for speed consistency...

I've got a WRT610N that works well.

I had the slow issue with my netgear router. It was only MUD and nothing else. I finally cured it by changing the firmware on the router. Then a couple months it died. Ended up picking up a Cisco router with no problems since.

Safari runs fine for me. I haven't had any slow issues since woody changed servers after that big crash, what was that?.. over a year ago?

I use Safari at home, Explorer at work and the mobile app in-between. All work well.

Been out of town so was not sure of the router, it is an Actiontec PK5000. Qwest supplied wireless router. I have been using Mud on another router, and no problems. It doesn't matter what browser I use, Chrome, Firefox or IE.

not sure...I've been on a handful of shared connections over the past couple days as I travel, and haven't noticed any issues...wish I had a quick solution....
